Welcome your new neighbors
Welcome your new neighbor the old fashioned way. Perhaps you could take over a loaf of homemade bread, a plant for their yard or home, or a copy of the neighborhood directory.
If your new neighbors have children, be sure to meet them as well. You could let them know where other children their age live. If your children are the same age, have them introduce themselves and invite them over to watch a movie, or play a game with the kids.
Don’t forget about their pets! If the pet next door knows you, they will bark less when you are out in your yard! Introduce yourself to them as well.
When the weather permits, invite your new neighbor over for a good old-fashioned cook out, or a friendly game of cards.
